Realer is for verified people only. Everyone confirms who they are with a selfie that we compare to their profile photos. If anyone makes you feel uncomfortable, tell us. We take every report seriously.
In an emergency
If you are in danger or someone is threatening you, call 911 or your local emergency services right away. Then let us know so we can act on our side.
How to report or block someone
You can report or block someone from:
- Your daily matches or their profile: tap the … button, then choose Report or Block.
- A chat: tap the … button at the top, then tap Report or block.
- When ending a conversation: if you pick “Made me uncomfortable,” we will ask if you want to report them.
When you report someone, pick a reason (like a fake profile, inappropriate photos, harassment, someone who seems under 18, or spam) and add any details. Reporting someone also blocks them. Blocking means they no longer appear in your matches, and you no longer appear in theirs.
You can also email us at support@joinrealer.com. Tell us who it was and what happened, and include screenshots if you can.
What happens next
Our team reviews every report, and we aim to respond within 24 hours. Depending on what happened, we may warn, suspend, or permanently ban the account.
Zero tolerance
We have zero tolerance for any of the following, and accounts that do these things are removed:
- Harassment or abuse
- Threats or violence
- Hate speech or discrimination
- Sending explicit content without consent
- Scams, or asking for money
- Anyone under 18
See our Community Guidelines for the full rules.
Dating safety tips
- Video chat first. A quick call helps you know they are who they say they are.
- Meet in public. Pick a busy place for the first few dates, and get there on your own.
- Tell a friend. Share who you are meeting, where, and when.
- Never send money. No matter the story, do not send money, gift cards, or crypto to someone you met online. Report anyone who asks.
- Trust your gut. If something feels off, it is okay to leave.
